Ferrari has announced a new lap record at its Fiorano test track, achieved by its most extreme hybrid road car to date — the SF90 XX Stradale.
On 16 October 2023, during the official media test event, the SF90 XX recorded a time of 1:17.309, making it the fastest road-legal Ferrari ever to lap the circuit. The car was driven by Ferrari’s Head of Development Test Driving,
Raffaele de Simone, and was equipped with carbon-fibre wheels and Michelin Cup2R tyres. The time was 1.4 seconds quicker than the standard SF90 Stradale with the Assetto Fiorano package.
Crucially, the lap was independently verified by a third-party motorsport telemetry agency — further solidifying the car’s performance credentials.
Limited to 799 units, the SF90 XX Stradale is Ferrari’s most track-focused plug-in hybrid. It combines a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 with a triple electric motor system, delivering a total output of 1,030 cv and 0–100 km/h in 2.3 seconds. Though designed for the road, it borrows heavily from Ferrari’s XX programme — previously reserved for circuit-only specials.
With deliveries beginning in 2024, the SF90 XX Stradale has already attracted collector attention.
Early build slots are commanding significant premiums, with reports of allocations trading hands for €200–300K over list.
As with LaFerrari and 488 Pista before it, track-focused variants with factory provenance and limited runs continue to outperform in the secondary market — particularly for clients seeking modern-era halo cars with proven performance credentials.
The record-setting SF90 XX Stradale will be on public display at the Ferrari Museum in Maranello from December 15.
